As the Director, Training and Development, your role is to oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of professional, managerial, and supervisor training programs. This position is responsible for identifying training needs, developing strategies to address those needs, measuring the effectiveness of training implemented, and ensuring that training programs align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis of the organization's training needs by identifying skill gaps, performance issues, and future requirements. This will involve collaborating with executives and managers to gather information and determine priorities.
Develop comprehensive training programs that address the identified needs. This includes determining training methods and delivery format, selecting proper materials, and creating curriculum.
Deliver and ensure the execution of training programs, which may involve coordinating with trainers or facilitators, scheduling training sessions, and ensuring that participants have necessary resources to complete training effectively.
Establish evaluation mechanisms and metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on employee and company performance.
Manage allocated budget for training initiatives, including identifying cost-effective solutions, negotiating contracts with external training providers, and maximizing available resources.
Ensure the implementation of assigned trainings into the Learning Management Systems to facilitate delivery and tracking of training programs.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, such as executives, department leaders, and subject matter experts to gain support and alignment for training initiatives.
Collaborate with senior management and HR to develop a comprehensive talent development strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in training and development activities.

Qualifications Knowledge & Skill:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with executives and vice presidents
Ability to design and deliver training
Experience identifying training and talent gaps and effectively applying expertise to design effective solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to facilitate and deliver training.
Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to organize practical solutions
Strong project management skills and highly detail-oriented
Ability to seamlessly work with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Psychology, Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience:
Ten plus years of training or talent management experience
