What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service. Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and appearance at all times
Coach, counsel, schedule, train, supervise and lead retail staff
Monitor weekly schedules and breaks as to maximize the utilization of labor hours and minimize overtime
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of the retail operation
Handle product protection, storage conditions, storeroom maintenance and cleanliness
Orchestrates shipping/receiving procedures/processes and invoice reconciliation
Check inventory of all items daily
Receive cash/credit cards and room charges for merchandise/services
Liaison for retail communications internally regarding promotions
Keep records of funds received; performs cashiering as well as other clerical duties
Completes all cashier forms upon closing
Compares cash register totals and receipts in register to verify accuracy of transactions
Totals and summarizes funds received
Maintain profitable inventory and take monthly inventory
Research & review vendors to secure cost effective and quality products
Update and implement all policies and procedures requires for maximum performance by staff
Keep department goals advancing in a productive direction
Responsible for coordination of all recyclables within work area
Performs all other tasks assigned by management.
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience within retail preferred
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or Point of Sales System required
Must possess a professional presentation
Previous Hotel experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Must have flexible schedule availability to coordinate with the needs of hotel business including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
