The Engineer II position is responsible for performing engineering duties of enterprise client management systems and/or performs analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and execution of various projects. This position is responsible for driving associate experience through technology while maintaining the security and integrity of personal computers and mobile devices throughout the enterprise.


This position acts as a consultant with end users to recommend the types of hardware and software required. Implements solutions and policies to fulfill requirements or selects appropriate off-the-shelf hardware/software and modifies to suit business needs.


This position performs research, analysis, design, testing and installation of hardware and software which includes evaluation of the latest hardware and software technologies. This position prepares status reports, purchase orders for equipment and resources.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
•Works closely with peers to continuously evolve Workforce Technology strategies
•Maintain an awareness for changes of technology and/or industry best practices
•Lead small-medium scale project efforts following prioritized based objectives
•Responsible for implementation and administration of virtual desktop solutions
•Evaluate platform performance; recommend and deliver improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost
•Plan, coordinate and execute change management activities
•Act as an escalation point for unsolved Tier III incidents and request
§Document processes, procedures, and knowledge articles
§Enterprise administration of endpoint security and management utilities including by not limited to mobile devices


Additional Responsibilities
§Limited on-call rotation as scheduled
§Limited Travel required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


Years of experience
• 3-5 years' experience within the Technology industry, required
• Education preference
• 4-year degree in Technology related course of study or
• equivalent work-related experience


Computer skills Functional knowledge of PC and mobile device technologies and networks but not limited to:
• iOS, MacOS, Android, Windows operating systems, (Windows 10 or newer systems)
• Virtual Machines
• Peripheral equipment (printers, scanners)
• McAfee/Bit locker
• Microsoft O365 Products
• Group policy
• WSUS
• SCCM/Intune
• EMM/MDM experience


Preferred Certifications, Accomplishments, etc. within a Technology environment
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Microsoft OS upgrades
• EMM/MDM implementations
