Lead Software Engineer We are building a team of committed technologists and innovators who work together to optimize the digital supply chain for our clients, and we are looking for a Lead Backend Developer to work closely with our VP of Technology. We are searching for a lead who is passionate about designing, developing, and architecting pleasurable and significant products. This lead should not just have a strong technical understanding of software engineering.

Our flagship product, Polaris, is one of the many backend platforms we work with, thus the ideal applicant will have a keen eye for directing, developing, building, and maintaining components of those platforms. We'd want you to join our team if you take delight in designing scalable, useable, and performant Web apps and have the knowledge and abilities to turn challenging workflows into elegant solutions. Due to the quick hyper-growth that our teams are experiencing, humility and teamwork are also important traits in our ideal candidate.
What You Will Be Doing Works hand-in-hand with our VP of Technology to lead and supervise day-to-day operations of assigned Software Development team, removing blockers, and monitoring development progress
Design and participate in development of multiple concurrent backend and server-side software development projects
Solve and implement difficult technology challenges and assist the team to successful delivery
Analyzes processes to improve production software, efficiency, and workflow
Ensure long term software quality, scalability, and maintainability
What You Need for this Position Experience managing software development teams or teams
Able to effectively explain technical knowledge to stakeholders who are both technical and non-technical
Experience creating applications utilizing backend frameworks and languages including Flask, Django, and Node.js, with a focus on designing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Django and the Django REST Framework.
Vast knowledge of the Git development process and best practices for web applications
Understanding of relational databases like Postgres
Knowledge of the application's entire stack and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JS
Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, GCP, and Azure
Excellent communicator who is committed to designing applications that are high-quality, extensible, scalable, and supportable
Possibility of working in a hurried setting
A plus is having a keen interest in cloud computing and media!
