Reservations Manager

What you will be doing:


  • Assist in leading and managing all aspects of the Reservations team to achieve excellence in service and maximize booking conversions.
  • Monitor and audits the performance of the reservations agents to meet luxury quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing one-on-one training, coaching, and development to advance the sales and customer service skills of each agent.
  • Lead the team to hit monthly and yearly upsell targets
  • Work closely with all other departments to develop and execute new packages, rates and processes.
  • Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing supporting agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices
  • Pull weekly revenue and forecast reports
  • Process commissions for travel agents and OTAs weekly
  • Coordinates bookings for VIP and repeat guests
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Manages employee staffing and payroll with the ability to staff according to the needs of the hotel and department.
  • Conducts employee performance reviews, assists in leading monthly departmental meetings and various briefings on policy changes, new promotions and new procedures.
  • Support the Director of Reservations on any ongoing projects

Your experience and skills include:


  • Service focused personality
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a similar capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience working with Opera
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
