JOB Summary 

A key position on Combined’s Marketing Team, the Social Media Manager will play a central, hands-on role in the day-to-day execution of the company’s North American organic social and paid media strategy to support various branches of business.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing this professional will have diverse responsibilities in internal team operations, content creation, campaign collaboration, social listening and community management, employee advocacy program management, and vendor/platform relations. The person in this role will also have an opportunity to craft social media content to support Chubb/Combined campaigns.

This position will also be a part of Chubb’s Social Media Center of Excellence, a newly created function within Chubb’s Global Marketing, Communications, and Investor Relations team.


  • Produce content for multiple, always-on Combined Insurance social media campaigns, the Supplementally Speaking blog, Combined Connections, broker social media marketing, B2B social media marketing, CWB social media marketing, field recruiting social media, thought leadership and brand awareness social media marketing.

  • Attend planning meetings for each campaign      

  • Source images, quotes/share texts

  • Publish content in English and Spanish

  • Manage Sprout Social Platform

  • Manage GoConnect platform (Dynamic Signal)

  • Advise team on social media best practices and evolving platforms

  • Provide GoConnect and LinkedIn training for field

  • Assist with pulling and compiling social media analytics for GoConnect and corporate social media

  • Online Reputation: monitor and respond to Glassdoor and Indeed reviews, assist with reporting online complaints

  • Assist with creating and editing Combined Insurance web pages and agent microsites on Adobe Experience Manager in coordination with omnichannel, integrated digital marketing strategies 

  • Assist with producing email marketing campaigns On Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target in coordination with omnichannel, integrated digital marketing strategies 


  • 3+ years of experience working in social media with a track record of success in organic social media content development, audience building, advocacy, listening, community management and/or operations; additional experience across marketing and communications is a plus

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – must be able to clearly communicate, build relationships, influence, and rally support among stakeholders

  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to balance multiple projects and competing priorities without missing a beat

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required; must be able to own and carry out work independently, tapping into relevant resources to bring about desired outcomes

  • A team and business builder who is never satisfied with the status quo, a change agent, energetic and engaging who will work relentlessly to see their vision come to fruition

  • Self-motivated, driven to make an impact, tenacious, comfortable with ambiguity, results-focused, collaborative, respectful, solution-oriented

Education and Experience 

  • Specific platform expertise with LinkedIn highly desired, along with knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, emerging platforms and influencer marketing

  • Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, marketing or another discipline; additional education welcome
