Job Summary:

SAVA is looking to fill critical Information Technology based positions for our customer with the United States Army at the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located in Aberdeen, MD (APG).  The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: outstanding customer service, expertise/knowledge in the required field, dedication to the mission and strong work ethic.

Job Responsibilities:

  Provide cloud-based solutions and support migration of on-premises datacenters and application to cloud-based alternatives using both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for planning, designing, and deploying cloud-based solutions and providing maintenance and support.

  
  


• 
  

  Deploying web services, databases, and application servers/services in one or more cloud architectures (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS).

  
  

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance required.

  
  


• 
  

  Must possess DOD 8570.01-M certifications meeting the requirements for IAT Level II.

  
  


• 
  

  Relevant education/experience must be in an IT discipline:

  
  
  • 
    

    5 plus years with Masters in directly related field.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    7 plus years with Bachelors in directly related field.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    9 plus years with Associates in directly related field.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    11 plus year with no degree and possess appropriate certifications.

    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Experience with cloud-based technologies (Microsoft Azure preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Experience mentoring other cloud engineers and systems administrators/network engineers on cloud-based technologies.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience leading transition of on-premise datacenters and applications to cloud-based alternatives using both Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

  
  


• 
  

  Experience leading security configuration of cloud-based services and working with Information Security staff to attain Authority to Operate.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with one or more of the following containerization technologies (OpenStack using Linux/UNIX containers, Docker using Windows containers) and experience deploying assets via Infrastructure as Code.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience providing user support for cloud solutions, and knowledge of securing cloud architectures in compliance with DoD RMF and Army guidelines.

  
  

Desired Qualifications:  

• 
  

  Developing, implementing, and managing automated software source control in industry standard platforms such as Jenkins and/or TFS.

  
  


• 
  

  Specialized experience as a DevOps (Development and Operations) Engineer.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to envision and implement. build and deployment strategies for Continuous Integration and deployment of system software, test artifacts, and documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with end state configuration via puppet or chef, and software deployment strategies via Docker or Kubernetes.

  
  


• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
