Sales Analyst - Distributor Sales (Hybrid, Libertyville IL) at Medline Industries, Inc. in LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Analyze data provided by third parties in various formats with converting into usable information for Medline Industries. Lead and participate on cross-functional teams in support of Distributor Supply Chain issues, Channel Shifts and Product Conversions, while managing projects and aggressive timelines.

Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Supply Chain Performance: Gather and analyze trends or unusual performance within the supply chain. Determine root cause analysis of fulfilment issues, including review of scorecards and OSIs, and communicate to leadership.
  
  


• 
  Lead Customer Channel Shift projects: Identify scope of the move and coordinate item transitions in relation to various inventory support to ensure effective service to the customer for defined go live dates. Additional support to be given for any new contract pricing requirements.
  
  


• 
  Inventory Updates: Analyze forecast demand requirements and item restriction needs. Collaborate with Distributors to finalize numbers, communicate inventory restrictions, and provide updates to the Inventory Management team. Communicate with Distributor Sales Pricing team on any new items requiring pricing.
  
  


• 
  Data Management: Maintain integrity of data files with over 100K lines to ensure accurate inventory forecasts and correctly identify billback rebates associated to those items. Requires familiarity of billback rebate process, product hierarchy and pricing hierarchy.
  
  


• 
  AR Management: Identify possible shortages or OSIs, pricing deductions, billback rebates offsets in support of AR.
  
  


• Communicate effectively with the Distributors, Customers, Sales Leadership, and internal departments on open issues, potential obstacles or project progress. Conduct conference calls to educate Sales and Distributors on processes, timelines, and required action to achieve goals.
  
  


• Act as an escalation point for service related issues; specifically related to Supply Chain or AR.
  
  


• Support additional projects as needed.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.

Relevant Work Experience

• At least 3 years of vendor, inventory, and/or sales analysis experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the Supply Chain processes.
  
  
  • Project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  
  
  • Leading calls with customers and/or internal resources to ensure deliverables are met.
  
  
  • Conducting presentations either by phone or in person, through a webinar format or a live customer meeting.
  
  
  • Managing and analyzing large data sets (100K lines of excel documents).
  
  
  
  

Additional

• Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.


• Familiar with billback rebate processes.


• Familiar with AR processing.


• Experience with SAP, Excel, Powerpoint and other presentation tools.
