Forklift Operator - NEW WAGE SCHEDULE AND SIGN ON BONUS at Arcosa Inc in Newton, Iowa

Job Description:

Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a Forklift Operator. As a Forklift Operator, you will operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, track mobiles/switch engine, and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.

 

Location:  Newton, IA

 

Hours: 

• 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, M-F


• Overtime as Required M-F and Saturdays

 

What you’ll do:

• Operate lift truck to move material


• Spot for mobile crane


• Operate scissor lift


• Operate track mobile


• Operate 80 ton for plate steel and moving sections (Outside: 100%)


• Tarp sections


• Train and assure safety of all team members


• Lead team by assigning tasks


• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards

What You’ll Need:

• Preferred Experience: Up to 2 Years


• Preferred Certifications: Applicable Equipment Certification from Arcosa


• Preferred Technical Skills: Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, Combi-lift, scissor lift, Mi-Jacks, Genie lift and track mobile

 

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.


• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays


• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required


• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.


• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
