Job Description

This role is hybrid from our Atlanta office with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Responsibilities


  • Support day to day activities for two Divisional Vice President's (DVP's) which include their prospective regions and Regional Vice President's (RVP's).

  • Primary point of contact for items such as: invoice processing, purchasing activity and compliance coordination as necessary to facilitate completion.

  • Use advanced software to generate reports and other supporting documentation and facilitate internal correspondence as requested.

  • Maintain internal databases, including, but not limited to, confidential and financial transactions and ensuring record archives are always accurate and up to date.

  • Independently respond to questions, inquiries, and various other requests which may arise during DVP's absence using discretion and sound judgment based on learned knowledge of business unit(s) activities.

  • Make travel arrangements and process expense reports via Concur for DVP's and RVP's, in accordance with the company travel policies and the departmental Non-Cash Compensation Addendum as required.

  • Provide administrative assistance and support for divisional meetings, which includes, but not limited to, ensuring all associated materials are pre-approved via John Hancock's compliance department and respective attendees as necessary.

  • Spearhead administrative projects and accurately complete respective tasks in a timely manner. Assigned tasks will include database and expense analysis reporting, cross divisional correspondences, and other pertinent communications as necessary for project completion

  • Independently gather information, test for accuracy, and analyze data as necessary to make recommendations regarding possible process change and proposing solutions to issues and/or problems as identified.

  • Additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned as needed in order to support respective business units.

Knowledge/Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to gather and consolidate data from various sources

  • Excellent design and presentation skills

  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and handle confidential information

  • Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities

  • Proficiency in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office)

  • 3-5 years relevant administrative experience

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Atlanta, Georgia is expected to be between $33,900.00 USD - $56,500.00 USD.

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
