Operations Accounting Analyst, Circleville at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

As an Operations Accounting Analyst , you will have ownership for all things operations accounting and cost management for the Circleville, OH manufacturing site. You will report to the Operations Accounting Manager. This is hybrid position that will report out of the Cranberry Township office.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations.
• Evaluate account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing and business leadership.
• Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes.
• Support the plant manager and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.
• Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant
• Assist with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
• Support the Regional Finance Manager and Industrial Segment Operations leadership team.
• Support customer manufacturing facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 1+ years of experience.
• Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
• Possess an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.
• Occasion travel will be required to Circleville, OH and additional locations as needed.
• Oracle and costing experience, preferred.
