Reporting up to the Nurse Manager Surgery within the department, the Assistant Manager Surgery will oversee Surgical Services and has a  very key role within the facilities functionality. Having at least 3+ years of experience in the Operating Room (OR) is strongly preferred for consideration of this opportunity. The Manager will have the opportunity to work within a very high functioning and busy Operating Room (OR) Department. The highly qualified medical staff cares for patients with compassionate care. The Surgical team works incredibly well together and are very adaptable.

The responsibilities include coordinating the daily operations of assigned patient care in order to provide personalized patient care, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care, and contributes in strategic planning.The Assistant Manager Surgery will maintain oversight (next to the Nurse Manager) of a Surgery Unit that consists of Operating Rooms, Inpatient Endoscopy suites, and Trauma bays. This unit also provides same-day surgery and a variety of general surgical services including Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Hernia repairs, Urology, and Dermatological operations
