ATS is looking for an Avionics Technician to work in San Antonio, TX.  To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides electronic services and repairs to Ground Instructional Aircraft (GITA), Trainer Aircraft Aids (TAA), Mock-Ups, and Support Equipment (SE)/Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). Repairs/Replaces communications and navigation equipment, instruments, auto-pilot, gauges, and other electronics. 

  • Analyzes test station testing malfunctions using schematics, logic and wiring diagrams, programming tables and other factory drawings to determine testing voids.

  • Investigates discrepancies in aircraft avionics systems, components, and test station malfunctions.

  • Diagnoses circuit operating characteristics using computer query, system peculiar test equipment, and computer diagnostics.

  • Removes and replace components or assemblies down to the lowest level or module authorized, using common/peculiar hand tools, soldering devices and special electronic instruments.

  • Complies with environmental, safety, and security requirements.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Requires (10) years’ experience in one or more avionics disciplines.

  • Knowledge and skills in the following areas required but not limited to: Electrical/Electronic principles, MICRO/RG principles, and Electro Optical and Laser principles.  

  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and interpret detailed technical orders, work cards, checklists, wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Obtain necessary licenses and certifications required to perform assigned duties.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to deal courteously, professionally, and effectively with the customer.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
