Summer Conference & Resident duties

  • Check in/Check out procedures

  • Policy clarification & enforcement

  • Resolve guest issues, answering questions

  • Front desk hours and administrative tasks

  • Implement one program per month for summer residents and interns

Housing Operations

  • Prepare rooms for summer intern and conference arrivals, including toiletries and linens and ensuring the room is ready for guest arrival.

  • Maintain inventory of conference supplies

  • Assist with Key and card management for Summer residents, interns, and groups

  • Work closely with Housing operations team and supporting when needed

On call duty/crisis response (includes weeknights and weekends, scheduled in shifts)

  • Contact person for any emergency situations that arise.

  • Conducting rounds at least once during their shift to check conditions of buildings.

Maintain confidentiality of records and information

Other duties as assigned.


  • Stevens Institute of Technology student or student currently enrolled and matriculated at an accredited institution.

  • Prior Housing or Residential Life experience preferred

  • Strong organizational and technology skills

  • Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to walk, stand, and be active for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift 20-25 pounds without assistance

  • Ability to work as part of a group as well as independently to provide the best possible service to summer guests.

  • Proactive and self-motivated; able to prioritize and achieve goals efficiently with moderate supervision, both in an office environment and in the field.

  • Ability to work creatively to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

  • Be able to work with all students, staff, and faculty regardless of race, gender, and ethnicity tactfully, and ensure all guests have a great residential experience.
