Due to unprecedented growth within our FSI team, an opportunity exists for a Director to focus on Credit Risk advisory within our Financial Services Risk & Regulatory team. We are looking for an individual with a successful track record in Financial Services and a passion for advisory.

The Director will lead assignments such as;


  • Advising banks on the implementation of credit risk management regulations and guidance (e.g. Definition of Default, Loan Origination and Monitoring)

  • Reviewing and implementing credit risk management and policy frameworks and methodologies against regulatory expectation and best practice

  • Assisting clients to remediate adverse regulatory findings or manage intense regulatory scrutiny

  • Supporting vendors and acquirors of regulated firms with credit risk due diligence on loan portfolios

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of Risk & Regulatory programmes within Financial Institutions, where the regulatory perspective is central to a business-critical judgement.

Ideally, an A&M Director will be able to successfully identify client needs and win client trust. The successful appointee will be recognised by the client as the lead for value contributed on engagements and therefore build his/her own credible network of contacts and referral sources with clients, professionals and institutions. They will be actively involved in business development and be an integrated part of the Risk & Regulatory team.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience & a strong track record of implementing and analysing credit risk management frameworks. This track record may have been gained at the regulator (e.g. the Prudential Regulation Authority ( PRA) , an operational role within a Retail or Commercial bank, or a consultancy firm

  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment and expectations, including IFRS9, RWA approaches, stress testing, ICAAPs and the supervisory process (e.g. SREP).

  • Strong academic track record including a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant finance, economics or business-related subject

  • A professional qualification including ACA / ACCA / CFA qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous

  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills including addressing complex technical risks and issues and managing key client relationships and expectations

  • Clear ability to deliver the latest thinking within a highly competitive advisory marketplace

  • Excellent financial analytical skills (Excel, etc) & presentation skills (PowerPoint)

  • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Spanish, Dutch, German or Italian are highly desirable
