JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst II Supply Chain will be responsible for:


  • Utilizing advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing purchase data to improve and optimize Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory.

  • Creating department level reporting for management and cross-functional teams to highlight performance and provide actionable insights to acute changes in the data.

  • Data driven and collaborative approach to drive improvement in supply chain processes and key projects.

  • Recommending innovative solutions and system changes as part of continuous improvement process where leadership buy in should be sought prior to the implementation.

  • Reviewing, updating, and documenting key Supply Chain processes continuously as per the company’s guidelines.

  • Ensuring data accuracy in the source systems to maintain the high validity of the analysis.

  • Using project management skills to plan, execute, track and risk mitigate for key projects.

  • Providing support for system implementation projects, including Oracle and myWarehouse as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Data wrangling and analysis of the complicated portfolio generated from existing Vendors and SKUs to optimize Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory.

  • Track, record, and report spend, savings, key project KPI, commodity trends for Procurement and Supply Chain functions.

  • Identify key initiatives to minimize total cost of ownership for key products and services.

  • Recommend process improvements based on trends identified from historic sourcing and market research.

  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams to incorporate their input into improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and support implementation of best-in-class processes and systems in Supply Chain.

  • Conduct price benchmarking analysis to get the competitive price advantage in vendor contract negotiations.

  • Develop complete understanding of software systems and ensure the systems are configured to their fullest extent to support business process flows.

  • Assist with the development of a comprehensive inventory strategy to ensure appropriate availability of spare parts.

  • Travel as required to field locations to understand the field operations and gather input to assist with the implementation of projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationship with team, management, and departments.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Make decisions that properly reflect company policy.

  • Strong oral, written and organizations skills are required.

  • Able to drive implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous “matrix environment” and aggressively take the lead on making recommendations that will result in Supply Chain improvements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Master’s degree.

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience in planning, analysis, researching, consulting, or other related business expertise; experience in these areas considered a benefit.

  • Very strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel and Power BI

  • Able to perform comprehensive analysis with supported evidence.

  • Capable of delivering effective solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Knowledge of Lean Sourcing and Six Sigma.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment. Able to work off site as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties of the position.
