Your role as Head of Strategy and Product Advancement/Chief Product Owner:

The Operations and Resiliency Group (O&R) operates and oversees the provision of financial accounts and services for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, including the distribution of currency for the Second district as well as gold safekeeping operations on behalf of the Federal Reserve System, and provides critical operations support to the broader Bank including law enforcement, business continuity and resiliency.

As the Head of Strategy and Product Advancement, you will lead a growing team that partners with senior leadership to develop business and supporting technology product strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration with Bank stakeholders and technology partners in the delivery of value-added technology solutions to achieve business objectives. 

As a demonstrated people leader, you will bring an agile focus with demonstrated experience operating in complex organizations, facilitating strategic planning activities, and delivering well-supported solutions that advance business outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of O&R, the Head of Strategy and Product Advancement will serve as the designated Chief Product Owner for the Group and will build, lead, inspire and develop a diverse team of professionals.


  • Build and successfully lead a new team to deliver business value through strategic vision, stakeholder partnership, and translation of business objectives into business and product capabilities.


  • Influence and negotiate despite competing priorities across business areas and technology, clearly articulating options to define the resolution.



  • Develop, drive, and monitor strategic planning activities for O&R that align with Bank processes and deliver business value, reporting on progress to various senior stakeholders.


  • Define and communicate O&R technology product vision to various stakeholders and executive leaders


  • Develop, own, and deliver on related technology product roadmaps for O&R that support business strategies. 


  • Engage with leaders of technology squads and other service providers to ensure effective prioritization and delivery of technology solutions.


  • Actively promote Agile behaviors within business areas and define training and other development needs to shift business mindset in support of the transition to the Bank’s Agile operating model


  • Represent O&R in various Bank stakeholder forums

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences at various governance/oversight groups


  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage a portfolio of projects, monitor and report on progress, and escalate and effectively address challenges to ensure timely completion and high-quality deliverables.


Salary Range: $198 800 - $332280 / year
