You will act as a critical member of the project management team together with the Project Director or Manager, Project Procurement Manager, and Project Construction Manager
Further you will lead multi-disciplinary global engineering efforts in the preparation of technical deliverables in collaboration with Linde Engineering team and external parties
Also, you will ensure the engineering design meets contractual obligations, is safely delivered on time, and within budget with the required quality
Develop the Engineering Execution Strategy and provide input to the Project Execution Strategy is required, as well as to proactively manage risk and changes to the engineering scope, schedule, and budgeted quantities
Additionally, you will coordinate and lead internal and external design reviews with the support of discipline leads
Moreover you will identify and coordinate resolution of technical issues and resource constraints and support Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues
You will ensure alignment of engineering activities with the overall project schedule and project plans and ensure effective technical coordination internally and with clients or third-party representatives
Also, you will contribute to Project Gate Review meetings
Functional use of work processes and regional scope splits as defined in the Linde Integrated Management System (IMS)
What makes you great
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and more than eight (8) years experience in LNG, Natural Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, or Industrial Gas Industry as well as an understanding of codes and regulations pertaining to facility design and engineering as well as more than five (5) years in a Project Engineering or engineering discipline lead role
Furthermore you have a proven record in managing broad range of projects including large ($100MM+) capital investments
Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) with progress towards PE License is required, Project Management certification (PMI/PMP) desirable
You have a positive attitude with ability to adapt work schedule to accommodate project specific needs
Detail oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a diverse Global Workshare environment
Also, you possess effective analytical and problem-solving skills and effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company including working with Virtual Teams
You have a track record in the management of detailed engineering activities of modularized process plants
Additionally, you have a demonstrated ability to bring team together to achieve project targets and goals across all project phases (proposal, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning)
Practical and results-driven approach demonstrating an ability to successfully drive multiple concurrent projects to successful completion under short time constraints
Knowledge of design reviews, HAZOP / P&ID reviews, customer/supplier interface, and construction is required in this role
In addition, you have experience working with municipalities on permit submittal requirements and effective change management skills including commercial awareness
Coach, Mentor, and lead junior Project Engineers on large or complex projects as assigned
Also, you have the ability to work within the office, supplier shops, construction, and operating plant environments
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc), Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other discipline specific software applications
