Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the hospital
- Lead and manage a team of infection prevention professionals
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of infection prevention measures and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that infection prevention strategies are integrated into all aspects of patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in the field and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and families
Qualifications:
- Current and active RN state License
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field preferred
- Certified Infection Preventionist (CIC) certification
- At least 5 years of experience in infection prevention in the hospital setting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
