AMETEK MRO AMERON has over 40 years of experience servicing and selling aircraft safety equipment thought its operating divisions, AMERON Global Product Support (AGPS) and MASS Systems. Operating three FAA-145 repair stations, AMERON specializes in the repair and overhaul of aircraft fire extinguishers, oxygen systems, crew masks and other flight safety equipment. AMERON also offers for sale a wide variety of PMA parts related to the safety equipment it repairs.

Acquired by AMETEK in 2009, AMERON is a unit within AMETEK MRO's Aerospace and Defense Division, a recognized global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.

Position Summary:

The Shipping Associate position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Execute specified shelf-life requirements.
  • Ensure the preservation and storage of all materials, parts, and supplies in a condition enabling them to be installed or used on civil aviation articles.
  • Control and distribute the inventory.
  • Ensure the preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and self-life specification including, but not limited to, grease, lubes, oils, paints, packings, and gaskets.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy is always maintained.
  • Responsible for the overall control of the repair station inventory, as well as the updating of the inventory database.
  • Receiving and distributing, as needed, those items that are received into the repair station under an LLC purchase order including replacement parts, shop supplies, as well as office supplies.
  • Ensures that all materials released to the shops are current with respect to shelf life and cure dates.
  • Ensures adherence to the Configuration Management procedure.
  • Ensures the proper packaging and shipping of all items leaving the repair station including all customer special requirements are met.
  • Ensures the proper identification, control, segregation and maintenance of all stock and consumables used in the maintenance of components covered within the scope of the repair station certificate.
  • Ensures security for and control of all test equipment maintained in the stock room.
  • Receives and processes all sub-components entering the repair station from either a vendor or an outside, subcontracted, maintenance facility.
  • Ensures that all hazardous materials requirements are met when necessary.
  • Performs the incoming review to identify, control, segregate and maintain all materials (including raw materials and parts) according to the manufacturer requirements or standard industry practices.
  • Ensures that purchase orders and trace documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Responsible for identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock and equipment as either serviceable or unserviceable as specified by the Quality Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • Ensures all articles (P/N and S/N) match customer Repair Orders.
  • Responsible for opening work orders in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for additional duties including shipping/receiving, receiving inspection of inventory, and stocking shelves.
  • Responsible for driving the delivery truck when necessary.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience:


  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ERP experience: Quantum experience is preferred.
  • Forklift experience.

Qualifications:

  • Solid written and oral communications skills. Ability to read, speak and write in English.
  • Understands procedures set forth in Quality and Repair Station Manuals.
  • Proficient with various freight software, Email, MS Word and Excel, etc.
  • Basic administrative skills.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds including the use of pneumatic and manual lifting devices.
  • Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift, HAZWOP, RCRA, Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous certification.

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $40,000

Salary Maximum: $50,000
