POSITION SUMMARY:

Natural Products, Inc., a subsidiary of Grain Processing Corporation, has a fantastic opportunity to join their thriving team as a Process Operator! This critical role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the process and equipment within Grain Processing Corporation (GPC).

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment and machinery for the manufacture of grain related products.


• Maintain good operating condition of all equipment. Identify and trouble shoot issues with the equipment and process.


• Perform housekeeping duties and routine inspections to ensure a safe and clean work area.


• Work with minimal supervision to maintain the process flow and meet or exceed production schedules.


• Keep precise records of production, quality, and environmental impacts in daily log.


• Pull in-process and finished product samples and ensure that they are delivered to the lab in a timely manner.


• Perform work in accordance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations. Report near misses or actual incidents through the Incident Reporting Procedure.


• Assist with the handling, storage, and flow of finished product through the process, warehouse and applicable packaging areas.


• Perform other duties as needed to support the GPC operation.


• Assist other Process Operators throughout the plant when problems arise.

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.  Post-secondary education is a plus.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.


• Experience with Microsoft products, including Outlook, Excel, and AX is desired.


• Valid Driver’s License is required


• Proficiency in spoken and written English language


• Strong reasoning and problem solving skills


• Mechanical aptitude


• Ability to work independently

Other: 

• Must be willing and able to work overtime


• Regular attendance is required
