Using discretion and independent judgment, serves as an Officer for WTRC Inc. and WTRC Foundation. Directs Patient Accounting, Financial Accounting & Information Services. Acts as a resource to all other Directors. Extensively involved in Board relations including presenting at all Board meetings of both organizations. Areas of responsibilities include; budget process, business insurance, staff benefit evaluation, various Telethon roles, 401K education, cash planning, Medicare/Medicaid certifications, Medicare cost reporting, staff and board orientation, Financial Statement preparation, strategic planning, audit oversight, business analysis, Trust/annuity administration, DR support, routine Foundation business.
Responsible for managing Financial Accounting, Patient Accounting, and Information Technology.
Maintains established financial policies and procedures, and objectives.
Protects and monitors the assets of both WTRC Inc. and WTRC Foundation
Monitors Accounts Receivables and works through the Patient Accounting Manager to improve cash flow
Oversees licensures and certifications
Oversees preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
Reviews IT operations and security
Handles day-to-day Foundation business
Works closely with Foundation VPs.
Supports departmental managers.
Ensures appropriate insurance coverage across all aspects of risk
Ensures audit recommendations are corrected and reviewed as required.
Helps to direct the 401K plan including staff education.
Performs department evaluations timely and in a consistent manner.
Assists in the ability to manage changing priorities, multiple tasks, and defined deadlines.
Communicates the need for internal control and establishes policies and procedures to meet the needs of the entire WTRC organization.
Develops and approves appropriate policies and procedures.
Supports the Chief Operating Officer on a variety of issues
Supports the VP of Human Resources on a variety of issues
Supports the CEO on a variety of issues
Supports the Boards of both Organizations on a variety of issues
Directs the budget process for both organizations.
Directs the external audit for both organizations.
Travels to all WTRC locations as needed.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the workplace. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
