POSITION SUMMARY:

This vital role is responsible for working with other members of the BI team in supporting system administration, report development, data modeling, and business requirements facilitation.

KENT Corporation employs a mix of on-prem and cloud technologies for their BI solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to do a wide range of activities in various non-production and production environments. This will include collaborating with business analyst and business users, monitoring and troubleshooting extract jobs, resolving data issues, managing system performance and configurations, applying upgrades and SUs, creating and scheduling reports, assisting development and managing security.

• This position is eligible for a remote-hybrid work arrangement at the discretion of the hiring manager, employee is required to be on-site 2 days a week.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate with customers and Business Analysts to determine business data reporting and analysis requirements.


• Assist in business report generation to internal and external customers for business decision making.


• Support Database Administrators and Developers to build data warehousing systems for business intelligence, reporting and analytics.


• Assist in data administration, modeling and integration activities in data warehouse systems.


• Implement business intelligence solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.


• Support the development of business intelligence standards to meet business goals.


• Coordinate with the business units to identify new data requirements, analysis strategies and reporting mechanisms.


• Assist in design and generation of reports in timely and accurate manner.


• Train and guide other team members in data reporting and analytical skills.


• Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize business intelligence processes.


• Address business intelligence queries and issues in a timely fashion.


• Create and execute project plans within allotted budget and timelines.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of Business Intelligence experience, working with BI applications (or similar theories), to include:
  
  
  
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Report/Analytical design and information architecture using Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)
  
  
  • 3 years of relevant experience of SQL development/programming (preferred)
  
  
  
  


• Experience with functional data mapping and data flow/structure is a plus.


• Experience with relational databases and quality/testing concepts.


• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other Enterprise class ERP Platforms is a plus


• Strong understanding of data sources/warehouses and cube/tabular models.


• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to understand business requirements.


• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines.

• Office environment. Able and willing to work extended hours as may be required to support existing application and to meet delivery dates for new or revised applications.
