Job Description:

The Master Order Scheduler will report to Global Order Management and play an integral role in the successful execution of our Supply Chain Operations. The primary responsibility will be to schedule orders that make up complex, engineered-to-order projects for the manufacturing plant to allow for on time delivery based on the project schedule. The Master Scheduler will work with multiple departments to drive results to achieve our committed customer required on site dates. These departments include, but are not limited to Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics and Customer Service.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized with an eye for detail and have a solid understanding of supply chain management and scheduling complex, engineered-to-order systems. They will ensure that schedules are firmed, maximizing plant capacities while effectively supporting customer orders, maintaining workforce stability at manufacturing facilities. The position also attempts to minimize fluctuations in production requirements while ensuring that the master production schedule aligns with material availability provided by the Supply Chain Group.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $97,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:


  • The Master Scheduler role will function as the key bridge between Sales, Project Management, and Operations to schedule project orders and help resolve risks to ensure successful project timing performance.


  • Support the IBP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.


  • Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Schedule.


  • Work with other master schedulers across the regions to standardize scheduling and change management processes in collaboration with company transformation initiatives.


  • The incumbent in this role will be responsible for problem solving and provide expertise into the continuous improvement of planning and production processes and procedures.


  • Provide input to the Business Analytics team to improve reporting and analysis capability and monitor actual output versus the Master Schedule Plan.


  • Work with production facilities to establish and maintain accurate lead time matrix.


  • Track and manage the accuracy and effectiveness of the master schedules to work through adjustments to forecast and to continuously improve the overall master scheduling process.


  • Oversee the master schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.


  • The Master Order Scheduler will set the order dates to balance the value stream demand to fulfill on-time delivery.


  • Maintain planning parameters and project schedules in SAP system.


  • Identifies and communicates schedule change impacts to the respective teams.


  • Exercise high degree of independent decision making regarding organizing and performing work to meet customer requirements.



What We are Looking For:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the global order fulfillment of complex, engineered-to-order systems, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment in a growing global industry.


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Operations Management.


  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing / Supply Chain environment.


  • Experience using an ERP/MRP (SAP 4HANA highly preferred) and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


  • Knowledge and experience applying lean thinking and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles to increase efficiency across business processes.


  • Planning experience in a global environment.


  • Must be proficient with MS Office.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.


  • Ability to multi-task.


  • Strong organization skills.


  • Good written and oral communication skills


  • Strong inter-personal skills


  • Possess an initiative-taking mindset and incorporate efficiencies into daily tasks.
