What you'll do...



This role will be a key member of the Marketplace Partner Payments team with a focus on Payments, Financial Operations and Financial Services for Marketplace Sellers


As a Senior Manager I, you'll be responsible for optimizing and scaling out our commission programs to fuel Marketplace growth. You will help in managing and improving the seller payments experience journey in cross-collaborating with Product and Operations teams.


  • Strategize and lead optimization of commissions that enable growth and a more competitive Marketplace for sellers in partnering with business and Analytics team. Manage rules and policies along with reporting infrastructure to steer different commission programs


  • Drive end-to-end seller payments journey to help understand the pain points, payment issues of sellers and bring in transparency to enhance seller payments experience


  • Manage and revamp the seller reporting and settlements to maintain competitive parity. Collaborate with Payments Product/Engineering team to automate and improve seller communication


  • Build dashboards to monitor growth of different commission programs along with tracking trends & critical KPI's of various payments related programs for leadership


  • Provide strategic and tactical inputs to shape product roadmaps to reduce payment friction and improve operational effectiveness


  • Validate partner settlements through data-driven actions for mitigation of Payment Fraud and Seller Risk; automate settlement processes to achieve operational efficiency


  • Partner with various internal teams including Product, Trust & Safety, Performance, Payment Operations, and other business teams supporting payments infrastructure and roadmap

Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required


  • At least 4 years industry experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or similar space.


  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams; proven ability to influence internal / external partners and provide clear actionable insights


  • Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets


  • Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.


  • High proficiency with Excel based data analysis


  • Deep analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions


  • Strong business insight, superb communication, and relationship skills

The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00-$192,000.00


Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.


Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:


- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)


- Stock equity incentives
