Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review Job Queues, voice messages, and emails; prioritize daily workload, respond to questions and resolve complaints and miscellaneous problems
Respond to the Material Survey Association and Builder's Exchange quote submittals as well as customer requests for quotes; complete the fixture schedule based upon the job specifications, enter product and price information into ECLIPSE and submit completed quote to the requesting customer(s) by the bid date
Analyze market conditions, customer buying activity and size of the quote; adjust pricing levels accordingly
Timely review and analysis of various operational reports such as the Open Purchase Orders report and Customer Calling Queues
Answer incoming sales inquiries upon request and when needed to assist Inside Sales; analyze customer needs, assess product availability, research special orders, create price quotes and enter orders
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations and trade shows
Research industry pricing, trends and new products; provide limited technical advice to customers and share product knowledge with other employees
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational, customer and personnel related information Confer with other departments to ensure coordination of Quotations activities with activities of other functions such as delivery, purchasing, accounting and human resources
Assist other employees as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
Takes control of all accepted quotations/bids, purchasing of materials and customer contact.
Negotiates complex requests for materials with vendors to ensure that the customer gets the prices in quoted
Research industry pricing, trends and new products; provide technical advice to customers and share product knowledge with other co-workers
Qualify the customer, determine and analyze customer needs, assess product availability and price, research special orders, create price quotes, enter orders and follow-up on back orders, non-stock and special orders
Develop relationships with customers to promote WHCI, WHCI's product lines and increase sales activity
Host, entertain, and attend customer related appreciation events as necessary
Monitor customer buying activity; set and adjust tiered pricing levels accordingly; set and adjust pricing on commodities accordingly
Establish operational policy and procedure for sales related activities
Ensure all sales activities are completed in accordance with company policy and procedure
Research industry pricing, trends and new products; provide limited technical advice to customers and share product knowledge with other employees
Provide and schedule training to direct reports on product knowledge, ECLIPSE computer system, customer service, cross-training for other departments, and company policy and procedure
Generate leads and develop relationships with potential and existing customers to promote WHCI, WHCI's product lines and increase sales activity
Assist with special projects upon request such as commercial water heater program assignments and categorizing products into product families
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational, customer and personnel related information
Confer with other departments to ensure coordination of Inside Sales activities with activities of other functions such as delivery, purchasing, accounting and human resources
Review Job Queues, voice messages, and emails; prioritize daily workload, research discrepancies, respond to questions and solve problems; follow-up on back orders, late shipments, etc.
Visit customer job sites and places of business; responsibilities include analyzing customer needs, assessing product availability, researching special orders and submitting orders
Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
