Position overview:

Primary responsibility of all LN functionality, Inventory Control and Material Variance Control. Prepares, reviews and tracks documents related to shipping and receiving to ensure proper and accurate processing of paperwork.   Fills in where needed to insure effective operation of the warehouse.

Position Objectives

• Daily validation of FG Warehouse, A-0 location and RS warehouse, verification of material usage and production reporting for FG production. Validate all roll stock and blanks have been properly scanned and matches actual production.  Validation that all scrap rolls from extrusion have been scrapped correctly in LN.  Daily inventory cycle count must be maintained.


• Review LN for inconsistencies in product and inventory and correct. Respond to inquiries from Accounting, Customer Service, Extrusion, Production and Warehouse, concerning inventory, scrap, production in regard to LN.


• Responsible for maintaining annual cleaning and general repair of Zebra printers, scanners, batteries and cradles for scanners; in conjunction with appropriate PM’s being performed on LN related equipment; or, when needed.


• Integral involvement in Month End Inventory procedures.


• Receives incoming supplies and prepares receivers, checking for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects.


• Expedites supplies to proper departments.


• Processes all UPS and Federal Express packages.


• Receives and assembles Bills of Lading, checks against orders, reports shortages and incomplete orders making changes as necessary.


• Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of goods with established trucking firms,


• Assists in weekly, monthly and year-end (physical and cycle) inventory counts.


• Generates ERP/LN pick lists, allocating pick lists and bills of lading.


• Responsible for production input into ERP/LN – training/corrections/validation.


• Communicates with Planning and Distribution Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Production Control Scheduler, and Quality Assurance Supervisor to accomplish daily tasks.


• Provides backup support for Production Scheduler and Customer Service Rep.


• Performs special projects as assigned by the Planning and Distribution Manager.
