Warehouse Lead

Job Description: This position is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility. 

We are looking to recruit a responsible leader, on 2nd Shift, to ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods follows company standards. Working hours are flexible; however, core schedule will be Monday-Thursday (9:00pm-7:00am)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, and storing of B&G Foods Snacks products, and assure that product, materials, and equipment, are delivered in a timely manner.


• Manage and participate in the receiving, unloading and inspection of shipments for damage and conformity to order specifications and packing slips; contact Warehouse Supervisor regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies; complete receiving paperwork for records and reports


• Direct and participate in the stocking of products; help plan storage locations; determine proper location of product to allow for maximum space utilization.


• Train and provide direction to Warehouse Material Handlers on a daily bases; prioritize work assignments; participate in the hiring and screening of new applicants as assigned. 


• Prioritize and fill daily shipping orders ; pull, and ship product/items according to procedures


• Drive a forklift to maneuver product and equipment as needed; maintain forklift records.


• Assist with truck drivers via phone or on-site; provide information and resolve issues concerning orders


• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to warehouse operations


• Lead and participate in periodic and annual physical inventories


• Adheres to all Safety & GMP Procedures


• Performs additional functions as assigned

Experience, Skills, Education:

• Forklift Certified Required


• 2 years, or more, receiving experience preferred


• 4 + years forklift/warehouse experience preferred


• Ability to navigate various WMS Systems


• Experience within a Leadership Role is Preferred


• Food/Baking Experience Preferred


• Effective Communication Skills


• Demonstrated Organizational Skills


• Good Math Skills


• Reading/Comprehension Abilities


• Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities


• Ability to Work In Group Setting or Individually


• Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
