Purpose of Job: Oversees the overall production operation while managing the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment, fixtures, and building support systems.
Job Duties:
Recruits, interviews, hires, develops, and leads a team of 25+ maintenance employees.
Maintains a detailed working knowledge of the proper operation of all production equipment.
Supports maintenance team in the troubleshooting and repairs of defective equipment.
Ensures proper maintenance schedules are followed.
Plans and executes capital expenditure projects.
Evaluates facility needs and purchases or updates as required.
Ensures all parts are inventoried and ordered as required.
Ensures proper troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair and replacement of all equipment, fixtures and building support systems in a working order.
Coordinates with City, State, and Federal officials to ensure facility remains compliant to all government oversight.
Reviews and approves annual budget and ensures expenditures do not exceed budget.
Works with management team to assess day-to-day operations and production efficiencies.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of field experience with two (2) years of supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
Previous experience in welding, piping, structural, electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration.
Previous capital planning and project management experience.
Must be able to problem solve.
Must be able to work as a team member and work well under stress.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Pay close attention to details.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of PLC software.
Numerical aptitude.
Work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
