The Mapping Development Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational, training and sales support to ensure effective adoption and growth of our mapping system . The Cardiac Ablation Solutions Mapping Development Specialist works closely with our customers and existing CA Solutions field organizations to drive procedural and practice success .
In this roll you will be expected to build and grow your knowledge of the mapping systems . Once this is mastered you will be expected to grow your working knowledge of other CAS products.
A DAY IN THE LIFE: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support / Clinical Support
Provide case support for our Mapping products
Represents Medtronic CAS during ablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance
Provide ongoing system upgrades to the Mapping System
Receives technical inquiries by customers. Research solutions to questions or problems with CIT
Provide clinical expertise for CIT centers
Gather feedback from customers
Help support Field Tech Support with system assembly and functional testing at installation of mapping system
Provide ongoing system upgrades to the Mapping System
Work in close collaboration with the R&D team to further develop the mapping system. This includes beta-site testing at selected accounts and feedback / input into next generation releases.
Edu cational Support
Provide support and for the CIT mapping System .
Serve as technical resource to customers and local CAS team on Mapping products and provide technical explanation and demonstration of produc ts
Provides training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel
Stay abreast of and communicate clinical data regarding CA Solutions products.
Contribute some level of input to T & E on training needs based on actual knowledge and feedback from customers, suggest ways that training can help meet established sales and marketing objectives , and be able to deliver educational programs
Help the team assess training needs based on actual knowledge and feedback from field and customers, suggest ways that training can help meet established sales and marketing objectives , and provide guidance on the delivery of educational programs
Sales Support
Communicate with local sales team on procedure dates . Immediately notifies Account Manager regarding issues o r problems requiring follow-up
Assist with customer management of inventory ordering needs
Serves as effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support
Promotes the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS p roducts and related procedures
Understands national, regional and territory sales objectives . Works in partnership with Account Manager to achieve exceed goal
Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
Serve as district and/or regional "expert" for all AF Solutions products and continually pursue new learning relative to AF therapies
Build the regional Mapping support team, act as a regional champion to share your experience and influence others to be proficient for the full market introduction of the Mapping Technology as well as other CAS portfolio products
Serve as technical resource to customers and Medtronic personnel for complex problems and provide technical explanation and demonstration of products to customers
N ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
High School diploma PLUS a minimum 6 years of work experience in clinical support role in electrophysiology
OR
Associate degree PLUS a minimum of 4 years of work experience clinical support role in electrophysiology
OR
Bachelor's degree
IBHRE or RCES Certification required
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (optional):
Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time (depending on where accounts are located )
Experience teaching and educating medical personnel
Educational delivery experience in electrophysiology field
Technically savvy and experience operating complex computer software system
Preferred experience with other mapping technologies (CARTO, NAVX , etc. )
IBHRE Certified EP Specialist or RCES certified
Ability to work with a first - generation system and a dapt to new technology challenges and considerations
Entrepreneur attitude to demonstrate , convince and create innovative training strategies
Experience launching new medical technologies or services to the clinical customer
Innovative problem- solving skills
Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to make timely and sound decisions
Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues across organizational levels and functions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. Learn more about total rewards on page 6 here .
The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
