Work Schedule

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position with hours Monday – Friday around core business hours of 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. 

Pay:

We are seeking an Infection Control Practitioner to: 


  • Be responsible for the surveillance and reporting of nosocomial infections of the healthcare environment.

  • Investigate infection or clusters of infections as warranted. 

  • Provide education on nosocomial infection and how to minimize infection among patients as well as occupational risks presented to employees.

Education:

Minimum – 


  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing, microbiology, medical technology, epidemiology, preventive medicine or other related health field.

Preferred – 


  • Master’s degree in nursing, microbiology and/or public health.

Work Experience:

Minimum – Three (3) years of clinical health-care experience relevant to healthcare infection control. Additional education may be substituted in lieu of experience.

Preferred – Experience with surgical settings related to infection control.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Valid WI driver’s license

Preferred – Certification in Infection Control
