This position is available in Warrendale, PA (Greater Pittsburgh area), Nashville, TN, or Gainesville, VA and offers a hybrid mix of in-office and work from home.

This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting our full reporting footprint including BI analytics, Azure Synapse workspaces and D365 SSRS Reports.   This person will be expected to contribute to the overall strategic roadmap including, but not limited to, the build-out of end-user layers to enable self-service and Citizen development.   This person will also serve as the primary designer of our core consumable end-user reports and dashboards.   As this position is intended to interact directly with all levels of the organization and some external customers, this person will need to be able to translate requirements into a fully defined and robust final product while maintaining data integrity in support of underlying data standards and security minimums.

What You Will Do:

BI Reporting Data View Design

• Design and create the data architecture and underlying data models required to pull data from multiple sources blending live data feeds with legacy data archives.   Creation of Data Lake views and Semantic Models will serve as the single source of truth for all internal and external reports.  

BI End-use reporting for Consumption

• Depending on the end-purpose and intended audience it is anticipated to need to deliver final report designs including departmental and executive dashboards, embedded published BI reports, Paginated BI format reporting, and standard BI workspaces and reports.  Part of the role will be to help decipher and define layouts and formats to satisfy the end-user reporting purpose.

SSRS support, creation, and Maintenance

• With the implementation of our D365 footprint there are embedded SSRS Reports, primarily in the financial space, which this role will support and deliver on new requirements. 

Data Strategy and Architecture

• As we evolve or overall footprint and platform there is intent to utilize the Azure synapse workspaces, inclusion of Azure data factory as needed, and the overall adoption of the Microsoft Fabric product as it evolves to enable continuous growth in Analytics.   This role will play a critical part of researching and recommending growth phases that balance stability with our end-user analytical goals.  This will also include the archive strategy for storing legacy data systems.

What You Will Need:

• BS in Computer Science, Data Science or Information Technology and/or relevant work history in a BI or reporting role.


• SQL Knowledge would be a plus.  Exposure to any of the D365 modules would also be a plus.


• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in both written form and received through verbal communications. Ability to think analytically to define requirements and translate to final solution design.


• This position requires the mind-set to continue to evolve and learn new technologies, as well as organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work well independently and as a team member.
