Intern, ConnectedDrive at BMW of North America in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey

Job Description:

This is an internship position for Spring/Summer Rotation, expected to start April 2024 and continue through September 13, 2024 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

The ConnectedDrive Intern will collaborate with the appropriate Engineering, Communications, and Business Operations colleagues on a wide array of ConnectedDrive topics. This includes validation of upcoming products, support for Mobile Network Operator (MNO) integration, development of ConnectedDrive communications for internal and external audiences, and customer support. Additionally, the Intern will follow BMW internal training requirements. Additionally, they will support ConnectedDrive for new product launches, existing product updates, and internal systems. They will spend time with departments from customer support, development, communications, and finance in order to obtain a holistic overview of ConnectedDrive operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform validation of one or more CD products, including testing and reporting of issues


• Assist the Business Operations in integration of Mobile Network Operator into ConnecteDrive


• Research and contribute content for an internal knowledge portal


• Support creation of communications for dealers, such as guides on how to use BMW systems


• Develop reporting on ConnectedDrive customer support

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $29.90.
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $36.80.

The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or university


• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)


• Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application


• Field of study: Engineering, Business


• Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript


• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)


• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international students only)


• Excellent writing skills


• Detail-oriented


• Conscientious, responsible, motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
