Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Cyber Security at Inmar, Inc. in Winston Salem, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Security, Cyber is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of infrastructure security for Inmar. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy for the IT infrastructure, aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance. This includes spearheading the development of security policies, procedures, and controls and ensuring the overall security posture of Inmar’s IT infrastructure.

Primary Accountabilities:

Operational (40%)

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls such as network and cloud security controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability management, identity and access management, enterprise email security, endpoint and data loss prevention solutions.


  • Network 



    • Design, implement, and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and web filtering solutions.


    • Manage network security team to ensure network traffic is monitored for suspicious activity.


    • Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing of the network infrastructure.




  • Cloud 



    • Implement and manage security controls for cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.


    • Develop monitoring capabilities for cloud activity to detect suspicious behavior and potential threats.


    • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and regulations.


    • Maintain network segmentation and access control policies.




  • IAM 



    • Design, implement, and maintain IAM policies and procedures.


    • Manage user access privileges and entitlements.


    • As needed, implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.


    • Monitor user activity and investigate suspicious access attempts.




  • Mail 



    • Implement and manage email security solutions (i.e. - webmail gateways, DMARC, DKIM, SPF) to protect against spam, phishing, and malware attacks.


    • Configure email filters and quarantines to prevent malicious emails from reaching users.


    • Monitor email traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats.




  • SaaS



    • Oversee procurement and development of enterprise password management solution


    • Oversee procurement and development of SaaS security posture management solution 


    • Coordinate changes to ensure Google Workspace security services




  • Endpoint



    • Oversee endpoint security configuration.


    • Ensure endpoint activity for suspicious behavior and potential threats are addressed timely.


    • Organize regular vulnerability scans and patch management for endpoint devices.


    • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions to protect laptops, desktops, and mobile devices from malware, ransomware, and other threats.


    • Stay current with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.




  • Vulnerability management



    • Oversee and mature the IT asset inventory, scan and assessment coverage


    • Identify, track and report on relevant vulnerability metrics to key stakeholders


    • Oversee and track annual penetration tests and ensure timely, prioritized resolution of any findings



Administrative (40%)


  • Manage the budget for infrastructure security projects and initiatives.


  • Oversee and mature the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Security Team to ensure the team’s partnership and processes are clearly understood within IT infrastructure teams and continuously improved based on feedback


  • Prepare and present reports on security metrics and trends to senior management.


Strategic (20%)

  • Develop operational roadmap for infrastructure security services in alignment with corporate and security objectives and accompanying project plans

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network, cloud, IAM, email, vulnerability management and endpoint security or a similar role; or any equivalent combination of experience and training/certification that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position


  • Proven experience with network, cloud, IAM, email, vulnerability management and endpoint security technologies.


  • Experience leading teams within an Agile framework, primarily remote and asynchronously


  • Experience building and maintaining clear operating models for scoping, scheduling, and delivering infrastructure security services


  • Experience managing team performance through OKRs


  • CISSP, CISM or equivalent combination of certification(s) and/or experience
