Human Resources Intern will be provided with training and will gain experience in the various areas of Human Resources. Rotations during this internship will include Onboarding, Talent Acquisition, Training and Organizational Development, and HRIS/Compensation. No housing is provided for this internship.
The Nuts and Bolts
Onboarding: Participate in new employee orientation. Study manufacturing environment safety protocols. Learn position expectations and objectives.
Talent Acquisition: Assist in the hiring process for hourly positions. Assess resumes and prehire assessments. Contact and screen applicants. Recommend and schedule onsite interviews if qualified.
System Maintenance: Assist in the review, testing and implementation of LMS (Learning Management System) system upgrades or patches, Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Create and maintain LMS processes. Document process results.
Production Support: Provide support for Training & Development, but not limited to, researching and resolving LMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Projects/Process Improvement: Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
Reports/Queries: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in the systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy. This includes the ability to speak and write clearly to deliver client service excellence - over the phone, through e-mail, or in all other interactions.

Work collaboratively with others, creating partnerships with management, colleagues, and the rest of the human resources function.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Treat highly confidential information with the utmost integrity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field, in progress
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent computer skills
