SUMMARY: The Production Planner assists the supply chain department under the direction of the purchasing manager maintain the production schedule. This role primarily oversees the production schedule, monitors consumer demand changes, and creates strategies to avoid FG stock out conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; (Other duties may be assigned.)

Production Planner:
Responsible for all production scheduling.Establish 52 week rolling forecast utilizing firm, slushy, and fluid planning horizons.Align with cross functional team on forecast alignment.Analyze production output to ensure FG target inventory does not fall below expectations.Monitor demonstrated capacity risks vs. forecast demand.Adjust FG target inventory as necessary to avoid excess based on changes in consumer demand.Partner with NPI team to integrate new products.Monitor inventory of EOL products to ensure obsolete inventory is minimized or exhausted.Report metrics related to schedule attainment, FG status, inventory gaps to target, etc.Participate in daily production meetings to review results and communicate pertinent information to the team. Support project related to inventory control.Serve as the liaison between Supply Chain and Operations related to production scheduling.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance.

Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelors degree in business, finance, supply chain or any analytical field or equivalent years of experience.

Other Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in production scheduling and/or inventory management experience for a manufacturing company.Strong business acumen around scheduling, inventory, and supply chain management.Solid operations, supply chain and/or manufacturing background.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working with ERP systems.Ability to work on a cross functional team and influence outside lines of report structure.Experience and proficiency in how to extract and manipulate data from an ERP system.Strong communications skills, self-motivated, self-starter and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional organization skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point).
