As an Aerospace Learning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the design, development and delivery of online courses, training materials, educational content, and developmental experiences for Aero employees. You will leverage your LMS expertise to ensure a seamless learning experience for our users, managing the technical aspects of our learning platform and collaborating closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and content creators. You will be at the forefront of leading Aero's talent programs, preparing our next leaders at all levels of the organization.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to support metrics, track milestones, review projects and roll out Human Resources programs. You will develop and implement changes as necessary to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality objectives. In addition, you will leverage your agility and ability to incorporate feedback from key stakeholders into meaningful programs.



This role will interface directly with learners at various levels within Aerospace Technologies primarily in support of these programs
  • Lead Rising Stars - Aero Engineering top talent program
  • Aero Executive Forum (AEF) and Focused Development Program (FDP) focal - tomorrow's Aero leaders
  • Co-Lead Aerospace Mentoring Program (AMP) - B3-early B4 employees
  • Co-Lead Technical Leadership Development Program (TLDP) - current or emerging technical leaders in Aero Engineering

Course Design and Development:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and course content.
  • Design and develop engaging and interactive e-learning courses and materials.
  • Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to create effective learning and developmental experiences.
  • Support Learning Manager with large scale training initiatives.

LMS Administration:
  • Administer and maintain our Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Manage user accounts, enrollments, and course assignments.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support as needed.
  • Stay current with LMS updates and new features to maximize system capabilities.

Content Integration:
  • Upload and organize course content within the LMS, including text, multimedia, assessments, and quizzes.
  • Ensure content is accessible and compatible with the LMS platform.
  • Monitor and track learner progress, completion, and performance.

Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct quality checks on courses to ensure they meet instructional design and quality standards and are error-free.
  • Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders and use it to make necessary improvements.

Training and Support:
  • Post training surveys and feedback analysis
  • Provide training and support to instructors and users on LMS functionality and course delivery.
  • Act as a point of contact for technical issues and inquiries related to the LMS.
  • Drive metrics, measurements, and surveying

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience as an Instructional Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing course design projects.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate findings from learning measures.
  • Expertise in Learning Management System (LMS) administration, preferably with experience in platforms such as SuccessFactors, SumTotal, or similar.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate).
  • Knowledge of instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of technical talent in development and/or deployment of development products
