We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional at our North American headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a  Benefits Analyst, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources.

 

Overview:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the management & administration of all employee benefits programs such as pension and 401(k) plans; medical & dental plans; term life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; accidental death policies, wellness plans and other related benefit plans.  They will be responsible for managing complex benefit policies and feel comfortable in supporting a remote and in-person work force across North America.

 

Job Description:

• Analyze existing programs against industry and market data to ensure programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. 


• Evaluates existing company benefit programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments and recommends changes to company employee benefits and compensation programs to ensure competitiveness. 


• Develops, administers, and implements approved employee benefit programs, procedures, and policies.   


• Develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues.


• Develops cost control procedures and monitors to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee. 


• Works closely with third parties including vendors, administrators, actuaries, etc. in the administration of plans.


• Ensures legislative and regulatory compliance of the design and administration of all plans.


• Assistance with miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or related field. 


• 5-7 years experience in benefit programs with at least 3-4 years in a health and welfare program analysis role


• In depth knowledge of state and federal laws & regulations related to benefits such as ERISA, FMLA and COBRA. 


• Excellent problem solving, communication and presentation skills. 


• The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player able to effectively work across all levels of the organization.
