The responsibility of the Material Flow Specialist is to provide end-to-end material flow oversight within the C4-US National Market supply chain and leverage this position's autonomy in executing inventory management and stock balancing activities of the C4-US Parts Logistics distribution network toward C4-US-A-3 and all relevant NSC functions. You will directly support customer satisfaction by ensuring vehicles are repaired as quickly as possible and leveraging a network of suppliers and process partners to escalate supply issues and expedite operational processes toward C4-US-A-3 and all relevant NSC functions. Additionally, you will mitigate BMW Group costs resulting from vehicle re-purchases & trade-assists, obsolete inventory, expedited transportation services through the US Parts Logistics supply chain, and Regional Distribution Center (RDC) packaging & labor costs inherent to dealer routed sales orders towards C4-US-A-3 and all relevant NSC functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive oversight of spare parts material flow throughout the C4-US supply chain focusing on but not limited to:
Part availability and facing-fill rate performance (FPA).
Dealer backorder fulfillment.
Open supplier part replenishment purchase orders.
Inbound shipments from suppliers.
Blocked stock due to RDC and National activities.
Monitor, escalate, and reconcile stock transfers and parts return.
Claims back to suppliers for shortages / overages / mis-deliveries.
Operational processes.
Reducing the number of vehicle buy-backs and trade assists.
Proactively engage in dealer backorder management by monitoring and taking appropriate action(s) to fill the backorders as quickly as possible. Actions include placing supplemental Purchase orders with suppliers, generating RDC to RDC stock transfers, returning DMDC stock to the RDC's, escalating supply shortages with the responsible material planning teams, requesting pulls from series production plants, raising awareness of US market conditions to the Central material planning teams and advocating for our customers.
Proactively monitor, escalate, and reconcile open supplier replenishment purchase orders and RDC & DMDC stock transfers.
Investigate and reconcile open inbound deliveries from BMWAG, ConDC, Local Suppliers to ensure BMWNA is accurately invoiced only for parts physically received, and US RDC network stock levels are maintained by preventing outdated atlas data from generating insufficient parts replenishment order proposals.
Strategic management of the routing-restricted parts assortment by proactively balancing US RDC network inventory and mitigating customer impacts resulting from parts shortages.
Oversee returns and claims RDC processing performance toward Suppliers.
Escalate and inform Parts Logistics Management of part availability issues and material flow challenges.
Performs other related duties as required.

The pay range for this role is: $74,831.00-$87,642.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Bachelor's Degree - preferred in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Business or equivalent work experience
5 years experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, logistics, or purchasing
Preferences:
