Do you have experience working as a Catering Clerk/Driver? We have an exciting opportunity working in our Port WashingtonStore as a PT Catering Clerk/Driver (this position will also have some responsibility as a store Sampler). Our gourmet store is busy taking orders, preparing orders and delivering orders. Come join our gourmet foods family and be part of our team! Part-Time position hours are late afternoon/evening until 7pm/8pm. (CDL is not required). Our Company catering van will be used for this position.

Summary
Our Catering Clerk-Catering Driver are responsible for providing exemplary customer service while maintaining the safety of customers and team members. Catering Clerks will exceed customer needs and expectations by providing efficient, accurate and pleasant check-out service and catering shopping assistance. Catering Drivers will be responsible for delivering and setting up the worlds best gourmet food quickly and safely from our kitchens to client's homes or offices. The Catering Driver must operate our vehicle according to all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain a vehicle in a manner capable of carrying large quantities of food. (CDL is not required). Use of our company SUV will be available for this position.

As a store Sampler, this individual will slice, cut, pour and fill sample cups, placing them on the respective cart for customers. This individual will help drive sales of the food items by offering a sample of the food item and answering any questions that the customer has.

Responsibilities
Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the company uniform policy Arrive on time and in uniform for all scheduled shifts Clock in and out for each scheduled shift and shift break Demonstrate the core values of Uncle Giuseppes and observe all Loss Prevention and Safety policies Pack items pertaining to orders and get then ready for delivery, ensuring that all items are inside each order. This includes any utensils, table clothes, service spoons, condiments, etc. Will prepare foods for catering or deli during down times of catering Maintain a clean and neat workstation Taking orders from customers either in person or over the phones ensuring the right amount of food is ordered Will be responsible for processing customer online orders, packing orders and ensuring payments are received Setting up in store demos. Assist in maintaining back-room efficiency by unloading/loading catering related deliveries and orders Provide exemplary customer service and greet guests in a friendly manner Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelinesPrepare foods for catering or deli when not making deliveries Other duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years or olderPrior catering experience working in a fast paced environment is preferredAbility to work in varying temperaturesAbility to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful wayAbility to work cooperatively with othersAbility to operate all equipment customarily used by the Food Service Department and other equipment as may be requiredAbility to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policiesMust be proficient in the English language (all communications)

Must have a valid drivers license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record

Must be able to lift safely 30lbs and up to 50lbs
Must be able to stand while walking for entire shift

Physical Requirements
All positions at Uncle Giuseppes must be able to adhere to these physical demands:

Continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced work environment;
Contact to various food allergens throughout the store;
Regular motions such as standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, lifting and reaching;
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours at a time;
Working in an environment with fluctuating temperatures;
