We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Intern (Entry Level) position will gain valuable hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects within our Richland, WA team.

This intern will have opportunities to contribute to design work and collaborate with engineers on various projects as well as support the CAD department by preparing and revising detailed drawings using AutoCAD. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated student to gain practical experience and exposure to the engineering field.

• Strong AutoCAD skills (version 2020 or newer) with demonstrable ability to create accurate and technically sound drawings.

• Enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Proactive problem-solving skills.

• Electrical or Civil Engineering student currently enrolled in college.

• Excellent technical skills and the ability to manage one's one time and multiple competing priorities.

Duties:

• Regularly communicate project progress to leads and internal stakeholders to manage expectations.

• Maintain current knowledge of:

• Technical discipline advances

• Project management best practices

• Regulatory frameworks

Performance Objective:

Performance objectives include the following with broader responsibilities and opportunities available as you become more familiar with Tetra Tech EBA:

• Achieve chargeability targets.

• Maintain or exceed project quality and safety expectations.

• Achieve 95% accuracy and adherence to standards in assigned drawing tasks.

• Proactively identify and address potential technical issues in drawings.

• Demonstrate consistent initiative and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

• Effectively collaborate with team members on assigned projects.

• Deliver assigned tasks on time and under budget.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or science

• AutoCAD experience (in-class curriculum or other)

Knowledge and skills:

• Currently enrolled in college engineering courses (Electrical Engineering student or a Civil Engineering Student preferred)

• Recent or relative experience in using AutoCAD software (version 2020 or newer)

• Basic Computer skills including Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

• A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $28.00 hr.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
