Job Description:

This Technical Training Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day logistics required to run and maintain. Technical Training, Body and Paint, and Motorrad STEP programs nationally. The selected candidate is expected to work in conjunction with the remainder of training department and regional training centers to develop efficiencies and a streamlined process for these programs across the company. The ability to react quickly to evolving business requirements and the need to communicate with multiple stakeholders with various backgrounds is critical. Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, teamwork, and the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships are essential. Responsible for dealer communications in an effort to place students in dealerships across the network and be the administration liaison for the STEP program to the dealers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepares and communicate all STEP operational procedures with RTTM's, TTL's and Education Supervisors. Includes partner schools administrative and instructional staff.

  • Creating purchase requests/ purchase orders for STEP, submit all misc. billing / credits in IFT and track.

  • Maintain all reports and records for the program. Includes partner schools and dealers.

  • Maintain STEP Connection website.

  • Coordinate and prepare STEP class scheduling, graduation, TMSI entries, DEM's accounts with our internal and external business owners.

  • Event coordination and logistics of graduations and meetings.

  • Coordinate and maintain records, processes, and data per class from orientation through graduation.

  • Communicates with dealer network to place and hire STEP graduates.

  • Invoice dealers' graduate costs and records data in IFT.

  • Tracks graduates and collates placement reports.

  • Prepares and tracks Dealer and Student agreements.

  • Ability to travel 5-10%.


In support of BMW of North America's business objectives, this position requires regular attendance at a BMW office / Facility with remote work capability (hybrid). In-office days may be assigned by the line manager.

The pay range for this role is $74,831 - $87,642.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

  • Associate degree or equivalent

  • 2-4 years' work experience in an office, logistical process, and project management

  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel 5-10%

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Automotive industry experience

  • Excellent communication, creative, and organization skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Power Point) and Outlook

  • Understanding and experience in the automotive industry and or training

  • Highly motivated and detailed oriented

  • Willingness to take initiative, develop creative approaches, and work independently

  • Team Player

  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel with a positive teamwork attitude
