Job Description:

Position: Machine Operator

Pay: Some positions are eligible for incentive pay and the hourly rate could be up to 22+ after training is completed!

Shifts:

• 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday; 2:30pm to 10:30pm with overtime as needed.


• 3rd Shift – Monday to Friday, 10pm-6:30AM with overtime as needed.

Training: Training will take place on 1st Shift for a minimum of 3 weeks.

Who Are We? Tampa, Florida is home to a fully integrated plant that manufacturers batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks. As a fully integrated plant, we also decorate or label our batteries into the final product for our customers. We opened in 1958 and employ more than 280 people. We operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through Metropolitan Ministries, The United Way and Adopt-A-Road Tampa.

Primary Duties:

• Adhere to plant safety guidelines


• Able to work in a clean room environment and follow donning and doffing of required PPE


• Able to interact with other team members in a positive manner


• Able to learn and rotate through multiple work stations (Cell Assembly, Final Seal, Winding, Cell Packing)


• Able to follow operator description sheets to run equipment properly


• Understand calibration and monitoring of equipment


• Adjust equipment to produce quality parts


• Restock trays and material in cell assembly/winding production area


• Maintain 5S in the work area

Qualifications

• Must be able to work all shifts up to 12 hours, as overtime may be mandatory.


• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Basic computer skills required


• Ability to understand and follow all safety, quality and production specifications, instructions, written and verbal


• Ability to read and understand all production specifications required


• Ability to neatly and accurately record required data


• Warehouse or Manufacturing experience strongly preferred


• Experience using inventory and maintenance planning systems preferred.
