An opportunity to join a forward thinking, innovative team at Chubb Insurance Group, a world leader in the insurance industry. This 12 month internship position offers the candidate the ability to work on the Financial Reporting and Analytics Team of Chubb Overseas General - Global Treaty Reinsurance Operations, a service provider in the administration of global reinsurance programs across all lines of business for over 50 countries around the world.

The candidate will work directly with a team focused on creative solutions across many departments, to provide reporting deliverables, financial analytics and reinsurance transaction analysis, while pursuing improvement opportunities to transform current processes using various software and tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with international teams to oversee intricate reinsurance process flows, offering you a chance to interact with diverse cultures while honing your skills in payment processing, report generation, and financial reconciliation.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes and activities, giving you the opportunity to learn and demonstrate your accounting acumen utilizing software like Alteryx, PeopleSoft, and Cognos to complete financial reporting, data reconciliations & analytics.
• Assist in the development and analysis of the annual Legal Entity Plans for affiliate reinsurers AIOIC, CIOIC and Chubb Tempest Re. Dive deeper into the field of strategic financial planning, building analytical skills in support of senior management reporting deliverables.
• Contribute to the financial operations of Chubb International Management Corporation, monitoring cashflows, service fee planning and billing, and financial statement preparation.
• Assist in analyzing the impact of foreign exchange movements on financial statements. Understand the risks and opportunities presented by fluctuations in exchange rates; provide hedging recommendations on various asset & liability exposures.
• Manage cashflow forecasts for the Global Treaty Unit, working collaboratively with Affiliated Reinsurance, External Recoveries, Investments, Treasury and Asset Management Teams. This will enhance understanding of forecasting and budgeting, preparing you for more complex decision-making roles in finance and accounting.
