Lead Mechanical Equipment Engineer - Small On-Site at Linde Engineering North America LLC in Tonawanda, New York

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will develop basic design, detailed engineering, and procurement-related activities of Rotating & Static Equipment/packages such as pumps, compressors, blowers, refrigeration units, cooling systems, silencers & filters


• Develop rotating equipment specifications and commissioning guidelines for the equipment


• Also, you will provide rotating equipment information throughout the various proposal, engineering and construction phases to the project team


• Further, you will provide the technical expertise to assist in achieving accuracy in project piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID’s)


• Prevent the overrunning of rotating equipment budgets, both in manpower terms and purchased equipment costs on assigned projects is part of your tasks 


• Additionally, you will submit requests for quotations, purchase specifications, bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions


• You will be participating in equipment check-out and commissioning

What makes you great

• You have a BS in engineering, BSME preferred


• You have at least 9 years of experience in a process-oriented EPC Company or in an operating company with project equipment engineering duties


• Also, you have working knowledge of International Codes and Standards and effective computer skills like Microsoft Office software, and other discipline specific software applications


• Must be able to travel for supplier inspections and equipment commissioning. Typically less than 25% travel
