What you will do

As a Manager, PGIM Strategic Finance and P&A, you will part of the Finance team supporting PGIM Investments, the retail investment solutions business of PGIM.

In this role, you will support senior management and other business partners in advising on global strategic initiatives, measuring, and evaluating the financial performance of the business, forecasting earnings generation capacity under various scenarios, assisting with the budgeting process, and assessing the potential impact of opportunities and risks.

Additionally, you will have direct management oversight of a team of 1-2 professional and will be responsible for the success of the broader team.

This position is based in our office Newark, NJ.  Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

What you can expect


  • Manage, mentor, develop, and guide a team responsible for developing financial statement forecasts of PGIM Investment’s core business, strategic initiatives, and product investments.


  • Lead and originate insightful analytics, supporting CFO and business senior executive leadership team, including scenario analysis, model development, and key business driver analysis.


  • Serve as a trusted and reliable finance partner to key business contacts and collaborate on strategic initiatives, including investment product build-out and the global expansion of the business.


  • Act as the liaison between other PGIM finance teams and ensure all team deliverables are completed accurately and meeting deadlines.


  • Prepare analysis packages for senior management discussions on multi-year forecasts, strategic initiatives, and opportunities to improve financial performance.


  • Assist in the review of the balance sheet to ensure legal entities are appropriately capitalized under Prudential’s capital framework, and recommend capital actions as needed.


  • Support annual benchmarking studies and other competitive analysis.


  • Develop profitability analysis by product and distribution channel.


  • Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results.


  • Assist in business specific projects as needed.


  • Present forecast results and ad hoc analytics to PGIM Investments executive leadership team and other key stakeholders


  • Lead the ongoing effort to modernize, automate, and streamline current processes.


Specific responsibilities for the position will vary over time based on business needs and other factors.

What you will bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics


  • 4+ years of experience in P&A or similar finance type role


  • Knowledge of capital markets and retail investment vehicles


  • Easily establishes a rapport with other, builds effective business partnerships, strong executive presence.


  • Experience leading and developing teams.


  • Excellent oral/written communication and strong analytical skills


  • Self-motivated and proactive, with an ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.


  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required.


  • Requires a high ethical standard and ability to work with confidential information.


What will set you apart?


  • Advanced degree or designation is a plus (MBA, CPA, or CFA)


  • Strong knowledge of Prudential systems (ie: EFDW, FFB, Anaplan, Obero) preferred.

The salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $145,000 Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
