What you will enjoy doing*




  • You will lead the development, demonstration, and commercialization of new industrial gas application technologies for Linde’s worldwide customers in glass, biofuels, energy, refining, cement, and related industries

  • Lead combustion R&D projects through a stage-gate process; design and conduct testing of new technologies in Linde labs and at customer sites; present results, develop recommendations, and align with leadership on action plans and priorities

  • You will collaborate with various teams to meet project milestones on time, and be responsible for technology performance validation and project reporting

  • You will also be responsible for the design of laboratory scale, pilot scale and first-of-a-kind commercial scale custom equipment, and produce fabrication and assembly drawings that are tightly integrated with existing customer processes

  • Work closely with the customers to evaluate different process and equipment designs to best optimize the integration of the R&D technologies with the customers’ processes

  • You will be expected to perform techno-economic analysis for integration of Linde technologies with customer processes and present recommendations to the stakeholders

  • Develop PFDs/P&IDs and participate in safety reviews and hazard analyses

  • Work with equipment suppliers or engineering companies on process detail design, equipment specification, and procurement

  • You will also lead or participate in field construction, startup activities, commissioning and performance validation

  • Support Linde customers and business units and assist them to troubleshoot operational problems

  • Support development of marketing materials, make presentations at external technical meetings and conferences, participate in technical discussions with current and prospective customers

What makes you great




  • You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 or more years’ experience in process equipment design and specifications

  • You must have experience as a project lead collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on technology/process evaluations and execution of projects leading to commercialization at customer sites

  • Strong mechanical design skills with expertise in creating CAD drawings and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and/or Inventor

  • You will possess expertise in equipment design and understanding the technology integration with customers’ operations

  • You will have experience in process equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

  • You must be able to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international)

  • Combustion experience and/or experience working with glass, biofuels, energy, chemicals, or refining is preferred

  • Hands-on process startup and operation experiences are preferred

  • Experiences leading or participating in new technology developments through idea generation, proof of concept, field demonstration, and commercialization is also preferred

  • Knowledge in process control systems and troubleshooting is also preferred

The base salary for this position is $75,000 - $130,000.
