Mid to Sr.-Level Civil Engineer at SHN in Klamath Falls, Oregon

Job Description:

Celebrating our 45th year anniversary, SHN has just over 100 employees in six offices. For our Klamath Falls, OR office, we are is looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit committed to supporting the communities of southern Oregon and in northern California.  This position is ideal for someone from the Rogue Valley who would like to work up to four days remotely.

A career pathway could be entering as a Project Manager directly responsible for the planning and design of municipal and private engineering projects, development of preliminary plans and specifications, construction documents, cost estimates, bidding support, and construction support activities.  Or, or entering as a Senior Engineer – adding Senior Project Manager responsibilities (on multiple disciplines or large projects), supporting business development efforts, and providing technical direction or mentorship to junior engineers, or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other technical personnel.

Compensation & Benefits:

• 40 hours/week anticipated
• Mid-level wage range: $43.00 - $53.00/hour
• Senior-level wage range: $50.00 – $64.00/hour

Minimum qualifications?

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college
• (Mid-Level) 3+ years of post-PE experience OR (Senior-Level) 8+ years of post-PE experience, including planning, technical studies, and design in at least two of the following areas (in order of preference).
• Wastewater: Treatment, Collection System
• Drinking Water: Treatment, Distribution System
• Pump Stations
• Stormwater
• Roads
• Structures
• Experience working in a consulting firm preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD

Certificates and Licenses:

• Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) in Oregon and/or California
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving clearance
