Role Summary
Drafts internal and external communications and manages outreach/communication efforts with senior internal business leaders, the industry community, policymakers, press and influential media contacts, and other relevant stakeholders—particularly for less complex and sensitive topics. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work and work completed by less experienced professionals. Provides guidance to less experienced professionals and assigns tasks. Supports and in some cases leads the development of specialized public relations campaigns for various stakeholders across the investment and business segment teams.

Responsibilities:


  • Drafts a variety of internal and external communication materials, including newsletters, talking points, press releases, and financial reports, among others. Contributes to the development of communications in response to anticipated events of some strategic importance to the organization and helps guide less experienced professionals as they develop communications.

  • Coordinates press and media events and communicates standard information about the organization using approved talking points and responses. Works to gain acceptance and improves understanding for organizational decision-making and activities.

  • Continues to develop industry experience and strengthen press, media, and stakeholder relationships. Maintains external lines of communication in order to gather media intelligence to inform our public relations activities. May provide internal communication consulting support to the assigned business areas.

  • Contributes to the development of the organization's public relations strategy and assists with implementing communication elements to enhance the company image. Proactively suggests improvements and position on standard topics based on experience.

  • Addresses sensitive internal and external public relations questions, concerns, and issues. Effectively manages public relations incidents with moderate financial and reputational implications for the organization.

Qualifications:
Required:


  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
