Job Summary: 

The Senior Financial Analyst will work to achieve challenging objectives in complex environment and under time constraints; support timely and accurate analysis of financial results; consolidate the North American status and forecast/plans; and maintain records of expenses, inventories, and budget balances.

Responsibilities:


  • Consolidate North American current status and check accuracy. 

  • Discuss and present final reviews with Senior Leadership 

  • Timely (program) reporting of all key financial information for respective business unit or reporting unit. 

  • Coordinate and consolidate, where appropriate, all financial reporting for automotive group Europe 

  • Continuously improve financial reporting systems and ensure that supporting systems are implemented and maintained at Division, Plant, and global levels 

  • React timely on any requests from external parties. 

  • Secure Hyperion validation accounts are properly reviewed 

  • Use the month-end Interiors A/R aging report that is distributed by the Director, Finance to prioritize and understand past due issues. 

  • Identify and communicate pricing issues at a program and part number level for Self-Bill Customers. 

    • Utilize Central Commercial Finance to provide reports which shows price discrepancies /quantity discrepancies at the part number level by Customer. 

    • Review CR/PO Report, Price tracker, and Metrix with AFM as needed. 

      • Work with the AFMs to understand differences between Accruals and Pricing Errors; and how to communicate each issue. 

      • Understand and communicate Linking Errors to AFM’s. 



    • Drive for month end closure of pricing retros and linking errors. Escalate to Interiors General Accounting Manager as needed. 

      • Verify using reports that AFM and BBC have processed the accounting of the retro. This will ensure that the issues have been removed from Past Due Accounts Receivable.

      • Use Business Warehouse reports weekly or as needed to review specific Customer Balances. 





  • Identify and communicate Customer Debits (Quality, Warranty, Quantity, etc.) to the Plant Controllers. This A/R is known as AG DUMMY or Company Code A/R 

    • Drive for month end closure of debits/credits that are at a Company Code level. 

      • Use Business Warehouse Reports weekly or as needed to identify Customer debits/credits. 

      • Contact BBC to get backup data behind debits. If BBC does not have backup, you may need to contact the Customer or plant to obtain backup data 

      • Provide backup data to Controller and correct YFAI departments to create awareness of the debit/credit. Verify legitimacy, and discuss next steps for closure (write off/reclassification) 

      • Provide BBC with Controller Contact v. Verify that Controller and BBC have processed the accounting of the debit/credit. This will ensure that the issues have been removed from Past Due Accounts Receivable. 

      • Escalate to Director, Finance as needed.





  • Support A/R management process improvements to maximize high level reporting categories and improved cash collection/application across the organization. This would entail following the outlined practices; providing feedback for improvement; adjusting the outline practices; accordingly, evaluating process changes for effectiveness. 

  • Financial leadership for key projects and initiatives deemed critical to the success of the A/R management for Interiors - NA Automotive Experience business operations as directed by Director, Finance

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or adequate professional experience focusing on financial/controlling especially accounting, finance, or controlling.

  • 5-7+ years in an industrial company, preferably in the automotive sector 

  • Strong financial analysis and planning background and accuracy, MS-Office, SAP & Hyperion experience.

  • Proficient with multiple computer systems 

    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 

    • SAP 

    • Customer Portal’s (Covisint, E-Dacore, EPNS, etc.) 

    • Lotus Notes 

    • Business Warehouse Reporting 

    • EPIC/Metrix 



  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audience. 

  • Ability to sort and manipulate large amounts of data.
